Several members of the ETWG entered the North East Texas Writers Association Jory Sherman contest. I am not aware if any of our members won, but I am glad to have entered this contest. Entering is one way to improve your writing skills. Many of these contests, and this is one of them, send you a critique of your work. Often, the information received from these critiques is helpful in improving your writing knowledge and skill. Although I did not win or place, I will be entering more contests in the future, and I encourage any other writers out there in the writing world to do the same.
