You Won’t Want to Miss:

Sharon Ellsberry

Author of:

The Go Spaniel Series

I am so excited to share with you about our March Speaker at the Chamber of Commerce Building, 6 P.M., March 11, 2013. Her name is Sharon Ellsberry and she has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Houston. Her job history includes a successful career in marketing.

In 2003 she decided to embark upon a new career which would utilize her love for animals and desire to teach children.  Using her own pets as her main characters, she started on the path to publishing four Children’s books: The Spaniel Family Goes to the State Fair, The Spaniel Family’s Pen Pal Adventure, The Mystery of the Spaniel Family’s Dog House, and her latest, The Spaniel Family’s Thanksgiving. All of her stories weave together the threads of her childhood fantasies and the joy of being with animals.

Her topic for the Guild is:

What’s Your M.O.?  She wants to share what brought her to write the books she has written and to hear from the audience what motivates them. What inspires you to write what you write?

What’s In Your Wallet? Here she will discuss the tools you carry with you at all times. Skills such as observation, past experience, along with the physical tools of writing. What are you using?

Who’s Your Daddy? Who are you writing for? What is your demographic, and does your writing fit where you need it to. How can you make it fit?

All three of the above are important questions for a writer to answer.

Her presentation promises to be fun and I have heard that “Joe”, one of her dog characters could make an appearance and help teach at some point during the evening. Also, she plans to include the audience.  So, if you want to learn and enjoy, come join us.
