Nikki Brown and her guide dog, VitoNikki Brown, her guide dog, Vito, and her daughter Rebecca have been members of ETWG since 2009. Although she loves to write, Nikki is not so much interested in publishing a novel as she is in sharing information through her nonfiction articles both in print and online. She also enjoys recording her memoirs so that she can pass along her thoughts, memories, and experiences to her children.

Nikki wears many hats. She is the proud mom of 2 teenagers, she home-schools, volunteers in the community, and is an ntrepreneur. For over 20 years, she and her husband Michael have run a computer consulting and web design business. Nikki considers herself a “techno-geek” and loves technology, partly because it makes her life easier as a person with limited eyesight.

In 2008, while listening to an online radio show about writing, Nikki first learned about WordPress, a software often used by bloggers and other folks who want to set up a website without having to learn html or other coding languages. She began experimenting with it and quickly fell in love with the ease of use, the flexibility, and the power of this opensource software.

Nikki was accepted as a blogging intern for the Moms Talk Network in 2009 and has continued to learn and improve her skills with WordPress. She currently works with clients to create new WordPress sites or redesign current html sites for the WordPress platform.

Nikki is also a trained Laser Coach and enjoys using her coaching skills to help people figure out what they want and how to get there. Whether discussing challenges in life, business, or website design, Nikki adamantly believes in supporting her clients to reach their full potential – online and off.

On March 12th, Nikki will be the guest speaker at the regular meeting of ETWG. She will be discussing how to establish YOUR online presence and get the most bang for your buck. ETWG has some exciting plans in the works for its members and Nikki will be presenting that information as well. Don’t miss the March meeting!
